It is a double edge sword. The fans are what drives celebrities crazy because they have no more privacy, but yet fans are what brings in the money.
I must end this blog with--Good job HyunJoong-ssi.
You know, I have been following SS501 for a long time and this is the first time I found articles that reported different things. Both articles came from respectable sources, so I am a little confused. ISPLUS reports that Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, and Kim Hyung Joon will be coming to the US to relax. They will return in time to join Kim Hyun Joong on March 31 to watch the last episode of BOF with fans. The ISPLUS article states that they will be going back to US as one group in May. I thought that they will be going to Japan in May?!? According to another article released at a later date, Newsen said they will be doing promotion in Japan for their new album in May. So, did I miss something?
In the news: Kim Hyun Joong at TonyMoly's signing event
Urgh! News like this really upsets me. So, we all know what DSP Entertainment is doing. They are capitalizing on Kim Hyun Joong's success in BOF. They want to use is popularity right now to milk in as much money as they can. This is really deteriorating to KHJ's health. Here I was thinking it was very nice of DSP Entertainment to give Kim Hyun Joong one month of rest. I should have known that it was all bogus. And knowing Kim Hyun Joong from his past behavior, he will probably work himself to death. When is he going to say enough is enough? I don't think he ever will because he is very hard-working. Ack! I just hope he doesn't regret it in the future. Most hard working bread winners usually regret in end that they never spend enough time with their families...I hope that does not happen to him.
Wow, it has been awhile since I wrote on my blog. I have been so busy with my website that I completely forgot about my blog. Well, as you all know, Kim Hyun Joong is back with SS501. And boy are they busy. First thing the group did together was shoot for a French clothing line called Le Coq Sportif. Then they went to Japan to perform in a mini-concert and promote BOF in Japan and then back to Korea to serve as flight attendant to fans on a flight to Jeju Island. Busy busy busy!
I am still not happy with DSP not allowing Kim Hyun Joong a break, but he looks a lot better. He is actually getting a little more muscular. Or may be that just me. I hope all goes well from now on.
I heard that there will be a BOF part 2 that will air next February. I wonder if it is going to be the same cast. I am not surprise that there will be a part 2 because the ending did not tie up lose ends. Oh well we shall see.

Just out of curiosity today, I decided to search the numbers of blogs on SS501 and I came across over five million of them. Ha! There goes the chance of a SS501 singer coming across my blog.
No, I have a life. I don't sit in front of my computer searching on SS501 all day long. I have Google Reader and I set it to pull new information daily off the web on topics I am interested it. It is a very cool feature. So I get a daily dose of SS501 ready for me when I open my personalized iGoogle.
Today, when I logged onto my Google home page, one article stood out. It is about Kim Hyun Joong, the leader of SS501. There was also a picture of him when he was in middle school. The article talks about his younger years and his favorite band. Finding article like these are a jewel. Unlike the American celebrities, it is very rare to find information about the past and childhood of Asian celebrities. Or may be I am not searching hard enough *shrug*.
When information like this get posted on the web, I always wonder if the article is true or not. I also wonder where the heck did they get this information from let alone the picture.
One thing new to me is that I did not know Hyun Joong had an older brother. I knew he had a younger brother who is currently studying overseas (Hyun Joong helps pay for his tuition). So Hyun Joong loves Seo TaiJi which is a heavy metal group in Korea. Interesting. I wonder if he listen to any of the heavy metal music in America. Heavy metal is a love hate relationship. You either love it or hate it. Thereh is no in between. I bet Hyun Joong's dream was to follow his idol and have a band of his own. Who knows, may be he will change career. He is still a very young man.
This article also proved me wrong. In Korea, kids do start their own band. I wonder why AXERS was not successful? It would be fun to watch a young Hyun Joong bobbing his head as he is playing the guitar. But, how different things would be if he was a band of a different group. I wonder what SS501 would be like. Hindsight is 20/20. I have heard him play his guitar many times, but I never really thought he was really good. May be I just have a very high standards. May be I thought he would play his guitar like Metallica, but I am sure he is very good, since he started playing at a very young age.
The story about him trying to buy a guitar is so touching and heartbreaking. It makes his success so much more sweeter and worthier. I just hope success and money does not change him and that he remains down to earth. I hope he will have another opportunity to meet Seo TaiJi.
SS501 is pronounce (double S 501). The SS stands for Super Singer OR Super Star. In Korea, 501 represent the five members as one. This translates to the super star/super singer of five members acting as a whole. I have also saw an interview that super singers is a future state, but I can't seem to remember which member said that.
Park Jung Min
Kim Kyu Jong
Kim Hyun Joong -- Leader
Heo Young Saeng
Kim Hyung Joon
The members of this band had to audition with DSP Entertainment to be part of the band. This is very different from the US where a band is form from a group of people playing an after school band together in their basement or garage. I think this is just a culture difference though.
Kim Hyun Joong is the oldest member of this band, hence the leadership role (another cultural etiquette). Born on June 6, 1986, he will be 23 this year. The next oldest member is Heo Young Saeng, followed by Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min, and Kim Hyung Joon.
As of today, February 27, 2009, Kim Hyun Joong is acting in a Korean version of Hana yori Dango. Which literally translate to Boys Over Flower in English. If you are interested in watching Hyun Joong act, you can watch Boys Over Flower at mysoju.com and Park Jung Min is busy starring as Danny Zuko in a Korean version of the musical Grease. The Koreans really love Grease. I think they love it more than we do in America. ;) So where does this leave the other three singers? Heo Young Saeng is temporarily the leader of the remainder three boys (again because he is the next oldest). They have been promoting SS501 through various televised programming in Korea. The three of them released two songs/music video "UR Man" and "Because I Am Stupid". "Because I Am Stupid" is one of the songs in Boys Over Flower Original Sound Track (OST). Both songs can be found on the web. You can also view videos of all three members singing the song. Some people are even nice enough to subtitle it for you. I chose not to create a link for these songs because some videos may be violating copyright laws. I can differentiate which ones are so better save than sorry. Mianhamnida!
Oh! How can I forget, Kim Hyung Joon and Kim Kyu Jong also sang Lonely Girl also an OST. This is one of my favorite song, but it is not as popular on the web. I wonder why?

Song debuted in the entertainment industry in 1996 when she won the Grand Prize in SunKyung Smart (a school uniform company) when she was finishing her third year in junior high school. It was not long until she starred in her first drama, Happy Morning. Since then, she would continue to star in a string of various dramas and sitcoms but it wasn't until the KBS drama Autumn in My Heart in 2000 with Song Seung Hun and Won Bin that Song rose to fame throughout Asia. The show became famous for depicting a tragic love story between three people.
Song's popularity continued to climb when she played a leading role in the poker drama All In, alongside Lee Byung Hun. She was also in a highly publicized relationship with Lee during this time (they broke up in 2004).
Song costarred with pop star Rain in the popular romantic comedy series Full House. After the pan-Asian success of Full House, Song starred in the movie My Girl and I, which was panned by audiences and critics alike. Song went on a 2-year hiatus, returning to acting as the kisaeng Hwang Jin-i in the movie version of Hwang Jin-i, which was released in South Korea in 2007. Though promoted heavily, it fared poorly at the box office. She then made her American debut in the Hollywood indie film Make Yourself At Home (originally titled Fetish) in 2008.
To pursue her dream of becoming a "hallyu queen" in Japan, she is planning to release a video album produced by entertainment company StarM Planning. However, while the shooting is already completed, the release date is still unconfirmed.
In late 2008, Song starred in the KBS2 drama The World That They Live In opposite Hyun Bin. Not romantically involved during filming, the two had kept in touch after the drama ended and they started dating in June 2009. Hyun Bin's being away for the filming of Friend, Our Legend in Busan reportedly made the two realize they were in love. Song Hye Kyo is considered Korea's Most Beautiful Woman and Korea's Natural Beauty.

Kim Ki-bum (born August 21, 1987), sometimes mononymously credited as Kibum, is a Korean pop singer, actor, and a member of the super boy band Super Junior. He made his debut in the Korean television drama, April Kiss in 2004. Although debuted as an actor, he achieved higher results as a singer after his music debut with Super Junior in 2005.
Kibum was born in Seoul, South Korea. He has a younger sister, Kim Sei Hee. He also has cousins in Florida, California, Atlanta and New Jersey. One of his cousins is a famous actor and model, Shin Dongwook. At the age of ten, he moved to Los Angeles, California, United States where he attended his high school years at Santa Monica High School.
In 2002, he was discovered by a talent agent from South Korea and was recommended to audition for the Starlight Casting System, a casting system organized by SM Entertainment, and also the home of top Korean pop acts like BoA and TVXQ. Kibum soon signed a contract with SM Entertainment and became their official trainee, being trained in areas of singing, acting, dancing, and other performing talents such as hosting and modeling. He placed particularly strong efforts in acting, as he explained that he is most interested in that area. Although he resided in Seoul at the time, he constantly returned to Los Angeles to visit his family and to attend short school sessions
Before debut, Kibum was often seen participating in runway modelling and appearing in advertisements for KTF, C&C phone, NF Sonata, OLIVE, My Chew, Ottogi Noddle and Elite Uniform with his SM senior BoA. He was also seen in many other ads with fellow future co-star, Ahyoomee, Go Ara, and future bandmate Kim Heechul.
Kibum debuted on April 21, 2004, the premiere date of the KBS drama, April Kiss. He plays the young role of Han Jungwoo. Kibum's largest role among Korean audiences was in the KBS drama, Sharp 2, starring alongside labelmates Go Ara and Kim Heechul. Soon after the premiere of Sharp 2 in early 2005, Kibum debuted as a member of Super Junior, which tightly interfered with his acting career. He was then given a small role in the MBC drama, Marrying a Millionaire, appearing in only one episode where he plays the young Kim Younghoon. However, he reprised as a lead actor in the MBC daily sitcom, Rainbow Romance, sharing the lead with Kim Heechul for 243 episodes a year later. In the fall of 2006, Kibum's second drama with Go, Snow Flower aired on SBS, attracting more audiences.
In April 2008, it was announced that Kibum would be starring in yet another daily MBC drama, Chunja's Happy Events alongside Wang Bitna after sixteen months of hiatus in the acting industry. The drama's premiere date was on May 19, 2008
Kibum's first silver-screen appearance was in Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, a 2007 high school Korean film that starred all members of Super Junior except Kyuhyun. He plays the narrator of the story; a student who investigates the mysterious happenings at school. Despite positive critical ratings, the film did not do well in the box-office, but all four versions of the film's DVD were all sold out and broke chart records. 2010, Kibum's new movie (Jumunjin) is set to be release on the 21st of January. The basic premise is about a love story of a ghost man (Kibum) meeting a girl that lives in the country side and they form a relationship. He has also been cast in an upcoming play called A (Middle) Nap (??). very capable person
In early 2005, Kibum's talent agency released an official announcement that Kibum would make a second debut as a singer. Along with eleven other members, Kibum with Super Junior 05, Super Junior's first generation, debuted on November 6, 2005 on SBS's Popular Songs, performing the group's first single "TWINS (Knock Out)." The group released their full studio album a month later, and the album debuted as #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts. As the group's second promotional single, "Miracle", came to an end, his talent agency was about to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation, Super Junior 06, planning to replace Kibum with a new member. However, plans changed when the company added in a thirteenth member, Kyuhyun, and the company declared that future Super Junior generations were rumors. The group dropped the suffix "05" and became officially Super Junior. The new group hit big after they released their first CD single "U" the following summer in 2006, which became Super Junior's most successful single in the music charts, leading Super Junior to set #1 records in their music career since then.
Kibum placed aside his acting career and was active as a member of Super Junior, especially during promotions for the group's second album Don't Don in the fall of 2007 and Super Junior's first concert tour in early 2008. Don't Don became Super Junior's best-selling album and Korea's second best-selling album of the year, while Super Show's live concert album became a record success in South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan.
Kibum is known for his English rapping ability in the group and remains as one of the lead rappers of Super Junior. Kibum also actively appears on variety shows . Kibum makes frequent appearances on Love Letter and other popular South Korean variety programs, promoting the group's music and product. Even after both debuts Kibum continued to be a popular symbol for endorsements, being an endorser of many items in South Korea. Kibum was picked as the co-presenter of Thailand's 12 Plus Powder along with the primary presenter, bandmate Choi Siwon, in early 2008. However, the co-presenter was switched to bandmate Donghae for another product of 12 Plus - "roll-on".
In 2009 Super Junior released their third LP, "Sorry, Sorry". During promotions for the first single, "Sorry, Sorry", Kibum was absent which lead to speculations that he left Super Junior. SM Entertainment, as well as all the band members denied this. When Super Junior released their second single, "It's You", Kibum was noticeably absent again from all promotions. SM finally issued a statement stating that Kibum was busy with solo projects, and re-confirmed he would be absent from promotional activities due to prior engagements, and that he hadn't left Super Junior. It was later confirmed that Kibum would not appear on the Super Junior tour (July 2009), "The Super Show II" due to an injury to his foot, which lead to six weeks of rest from physically straining activities. After the release of "Sorry, Sorry - Answer", Kibum was completely absent from the video and the song. In the group's latest release, "It's You", Kibum had no singing solo. Kibum revealed his upcoming plans in the near future, although they still remain tentative as of now. He stated, “Firstly, I am in the process of preparing for the play and releasing the drama. Whether I will participate in the fourth album, resume solo activities, or continue acting, need to be further discussed with my company."
It is also confirmed that Kibum will not be participating in the 4th album, as he will be focusing on his acting career.
